OpenAI has just upgraded ChatGPT's Memory feature. Now, the chatbot can remember all your past conversations, not just your preferences.

Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, shared his excitement on Twitter, calling it a great step toward AI that learns from you over time and becomes more personalized.

ChatGPT's Memory first launched a year ago, but it's now even better. In addition to remembering what you've specifically asked it to, the bot can now reference all your past chats to make its responses feel more relevant and tailored.

This means there are two types of memories now: saved memories (the ones you ask it to remember) and chat history (the insights it gathers from previous conversations). These will help ChatGPT improve its responses over time.

You can manage this by going to Settings > Personalization > Memory, where you can turn off or control what it remembers, including your chat history. If you don't want ChatGPT to remember something, use the Temporary chat option (the dotted-cloud icon) during your conversation.

Right now, the Memory feature is available for ChatGPT Pro users ($200/month), with Plus users ($20/month) getting access soon. Free users will have to wait. The feature is not yet available in the UK, EU, or a few other countries.

So, if you're a Pro user, ChatGPT is about to get a lot more personal and useful!
